Vinexpo Asia 2024

Positioned as the regional flagship wine and spirits trade show, Vinexpo Asia returned to Hong Kong on 28-30 May 2024 after a six-year hiatus. The event assembled over 1,032 industry producers from 35 exhibitor countries, and attracted 14,203 visitors, 40% more than last year’s edition in Southeast Asia.

The three-day trade show offered a rich programme of more than 50 masterclasses, conferences and professional tastings, and facilitated business, education and networking for wine and spirits professionals from across the globe. Its highly effective business matching service platform enabled 4,237 meetings between buyers and exhibitors, demonstrating the event's ability to create new business opportunities.

Rodolphe Lameyse, CEO of Vinexposium Group, described Hong Kong as "home to numerous wine brokers and importers", and "has become an even more prominent hub serving not just China, but also Asia Pacific".

Vinexpo Asia further underscored Hong Kong's pivotal role as a super-connector and its strategic advantages for empowering industry players to seize business opportunities in the vast mainland market.

Hong Kong for me is where I want the show to be. If my client wants to address the Chinese market through my shows, it will happen only in Hong Kong. Vinexpo's long-standing partnership with Hong Kong has been instrumental in the city's transformation into a global hub for the wine and spirits industry. Since our first edition here in 1998, the removal of wine duties in 2008 propelled Hong Kong to become the central trading destination, mirroring Vinexpo's own growth. Vinexpo has always been the largest hub in Hong Kong for the wine and spirit industry. We have 35 wine producing countries that are here. Reaching Hong Kong is easy wherever you are in Asia.

Hong Kong has long been the ideal location for the global wine and spirits industry. The city's central location and highly professional distribution and logistics networks make it the industry’s hub. While Hong Kong's unique strengths go beyond just its practical advantages, it is also home to a mature and passionate consumer base, brimming with wine enthusiasts and connoisseurs. This is why we are thrilled to be here in Hong Kong once again.

We are a winery from Yunnan, China. Vinexpo marked the inaugural showcase of our wines in Hong Kong. Given the city's vibrant business environment, Hong Kong serves as a major platform for us to access not only traditional wine markets but also the burgeoning markets that are increasingly attracted to this hub. This relationship between Hong Kong and mainland China is very important for us, for our wines to be here.

Hong Kong is a wonderful hub that is very special to us. The government's highly favorable policy towards wine, with no tax on imports, makes it an attractive location for seamless logistics in Asia. Complementing this supportive business environment is Hong Kong's incredibly professional ecosystem of wine importers, distributors, and retailers, further enhanced by the city's vibrant food and dining scene, collectively delighting wine drinkers throughout the region.
